My interest in watches first emerged in 2014 while I was studying engineering in Karlsruhe, Germany. My initial curiosity quickly evolved into a full-blown passion. Since Chrono24 happens to be in the same city as my school, an internship there was a no-brainer. Thanks to my engineering background, I mainly focus on the techniques and technology that go into watches and their movements. I could spend all day learning about how complications are designed and specific models are constructed. In fact, sometimes I do. I enjoy flipping through historical watch tomes, as well as specialist books for building watches. I've even taken up servicing and repairing timepieces myself. My small collection of watch tools is slowly but steadily growing.
